Job Description

The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

Position Summary:

The Automotive Service Advisor at the Reconditioning Center plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely preparation of new vehicles for delivery and the reconditioning of used vehicles for resale. This position serves as the liaison between the recon technicians, sales team, and management, ensuring all service operations are documented, scheduled, and completed to meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Intake & Scheduling
  • Receive and process internal service requests for new car preps and used car reconditioning.
  • Schedule vehicles for inspection, detailing, mechanical repairs, and cosmetic enhancements.
  • Customer & Internal Communication
  • Communicate with sales and inventory teams regarding vehicle status and estimated completion times.
  • Provide updates to management on workflow, delays, and completion metrics.
  • Repair Order Management
  • Create, manage, and close repair orders in the dealership management system (DMS).
  • Ensure accurate documentation of services performed, parts used, and labor hours in MyKaarma.
  • Quality Control
  • Conduct post-service inspections to ensure vehicles meet dealership standards before delivery or resale.
  • Coordinate with technicians to resolve any outstanding issues or rework needs.
  • Parts Coordination
  • Work with the parts department to order and track parts needed for reconditioning.
  • Ensure timely availability of parts to avoid delays in vehicle prep.
  • Compliance & Standards
  • Ensure all work complies with dealership, manufacturer, and safety standards.
  • Maintain records for warranty and internal billing purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar automotive role preferred.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems, repair processes, and dealership operations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with dealership management software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds).
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily indoor office environment with frequent visits to the service and recon areas.
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.

Benefits:

Regular Full-Time

Temporary or Part-Time

In geographic areas with statutory paid sick leave, part-time and temporary employees will receive a paid sick leave benefit that meets the mandated requirements.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $21.43 - $31.07 USD per hour.
