The Inventory Control Associate I is responsible for performing routine cycle counts, Bin audits, and assisting with investigations to maintain inventory accuracy. The Associate I works closely with other warehouse functions and must follow inventory procedures and safety guidelines at all times.
A forklift license is required
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with routine inventory audits
- Support labeling and bin maintenance activities
- Verify product locations and report discrepancies to inventory leadership
- Assist with count documentation, document retention, and year end inventory
- Operate forklifts and handheld barcode scanners
- Maintain organization of inventory and staging locations to drive accuracy
- Learn and apply inventory best practices and SOPs under guidance
- Communicate clearly with materials and receiving teams as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Attention to detail and basic math skills
- Familiarity with handheld barcode scanners or inventory tools
- Comfortable manipulating data in excel using formatting and basic formulas
- Ability to follow instructions and escalate discrepancies when unsure
- Forklift certification required
- Willingness to learn ERP system usage and data procedures
Education and Experience:
- · High school diploma or GED required
- · Minimum of 1 year in a warehouse or inventory-support role preferred
