Job Description

Who we are

Neros is a defense technology company rebuilding America’s drone industrial base. We design and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are tested in combat, iterated at startup speed, and built at massive scale. Our team culture is fast, hands-on, and obsessed with closing the gap between design and deployment.

As drones transform the character of warfare, Neros is delivering the systems the West needs to compete on the modern battlefield and deter the adversaries of democracy. We’re hiring engineers, operators, and builders who want to move fast, take on extreme ownership, and get capability into the hands of warfighters in months, not years.

What you will be doing

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, supporting shipping, and receiving operations. This person will ensure materials are properly stored, tracked, and distributed. This role plays a key part in reducing inventory errors, improving efficiency, and supporting overall business growth. As an Inventory Specialist, you’ll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Your day typically includes monitoring stock levels, recording transactions in our ERP system, and coordinating with shipping and receiving teams to ensure accuracy.

You’ll perform regular cycle counts, reconcile any discrepancies, and maintain compliance with company procedures and, when applicable, dangerous goods regulations. Collaboration is a big part of the role — you’ll work closely with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to support on-time deliveries and prevent stockouts. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential, as your work directly impacts both daily operations and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, and reconcile inventory across all company systems and locations.
  • Process inventory transactions including receipts, move orders, adjustments, and returns.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and support annual/quarterly physical inventories.
  • Support daily shipping and receiving operations, including verifying incoming materials, preparing outgoing shipments, and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Identify and resolve inventory and shipping discrepancies in coordination with purchasing, operations, and warehouse teams.
  • Ensure all products are stored, labeled, and located correctly according to company standards.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to highlight shortages, overages, or potential supply chain issues.
  • Support the implementation of inventory control policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, logistics, production, and sales) to meet operational demands.
  • Adhere to company safety, quality, and compliance standards.

You should have the following

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics.
  • Proficiency with ERP or warehouse management systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, reporting).
  • Ability to conduct cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation (bills of lading, packing lists, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good communication skills for coordination across teams.
  • Ability to lift and move packages as required (50 lbs).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred but not always required).
  • Willingness to comply with company safety and quality standards.
  • Ability to work the 6am shift.

Nice to have

  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) a plus.
  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) handling/shipping regulations (IATA/IMDG/49 CFR) — preferred.
  • Experience handling regulated or hazardous materials beyond basic DG requirements.
  • Previous work in international shipping or import/export logistics.
  • Familiarity with multiple ERP/WMS platforms.
  • Experience creating inventory reports, KPIs, or dashboards for management.
  • Knowledge of lean inventory practices or process improvement methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse.
  • Additional certifications such as OSHA, HAZMAT, or logistics training.
  • Advanced Excel skills (macros, complex formulas, data analysis).
  • Experience with cycle counting optimization or inventory auditing projects.
  • Exposure to supply chain or procurement workflows.
