Job Description
Summary of the Role: The Inventory Support Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing inventory audits, managing product manifesting and logistics for retail partnerships, and supporting overall fulfillment processes. This role is essential for ensuring smooth facility operations while maintaining strict compliance with state and local regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Audits & Control:
- Conduct regular and accurate inventory audits to ensure that all product quantities match records.
- Monitor inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and report findings to the Compliance Manager.
- Assist in managing inventory rotation and expiration tracking to ensure compliance with product quality and shelf-life requirements.
- Manifesting & Logistics Coordination:
- Oversee the preparation and management of manifests for product shipments to retail partners.
- Ensure that all products are appropriately logged, tracked, and dispatched in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, tracking shipments from departure to arrival.
- Fulfillment Oversight:
- Collaborate with the fulfillment team to ensure products are picked, packed, and shipped in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Support the accurate tracking of product movements from cultivation and processing to retail partners.
- Compliance Support:
- Assist in maintaining compliance with state and local cannabis regulations related to inventory management and logistics.
- Work closely with the Compliance Manager to ensure that inventory and shipping processes are in full compliance with all legal requirements.
- Help facilitate regular inspections and audits as required by regulatory bodies.
- Document and report any compliance issues to the Compliance Manager in a timely manner.
- Recordkeeping & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inventory, shipments, and any discrepancies found during audits.
- Prepare regular reports for the Compliance Manager and senior leadership regarding inventory status, audit results, and fulfillment activities.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Work closely with cultivation, processing, and retail teams to support seamless product flow and ensure alignment with inventory needs.
- Provide inventory data and support for forecasting and ordering decisions.
Qualifications:
- Experience & Education:
- Previous experience in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain coordination (preferably in the cannabis industry).
- A high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.
- Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of inventory management software and systems.
- Ability to track and manage a high volume of products accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with cannabis industry compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle complex tasks simultaneously.
- Additional Qualities:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Evening and weekend hours as needed.
- Work is primarily performed within the facility, with some occasional travel to off-site locations (e.g., retail partners).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Comfortable being under constant video surveillance
- Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise.
