Here’s what you’d do:

The Analyst, IT Security supports the organization’s information security efforts by monitoring systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and assisting in the response to potential threats. This role works closely with IT and business teams to maintain security tools, support compliance initiatives, and promote best practices that protect the organization’s data, systems, and infrastructure.

You’d be responsible for 

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from various security tools
• Conduct vulnerability and penetration testing assessments and assist in remediation of the findings
• Support investigation and documentation of security incidents and potential breaches
• Maintain and assist with configuration of security tools and controls across the environment
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to promote security awareness and implement best practices
• Support regular audits and reviews of user access to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for security procedures, incidents, and system configurations
• Research and stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies 

You might be a good fit if you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Information Technology with exposure to security-related functions
• Basic understanding of information security concepts, tools, and industry best practices
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and core networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP
• Familiarity with network security protocols, common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10), and technologies including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, and EDR tools
• Proficiency in scripting for automation and log analysis using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or equivalent preferred
• Understanding of regulatory and security frameworks including SOX and NIST 800 series preferred
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
