Job Description

GCyber is hiring a Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer/Architect to support our newly awarded United States Coats Guard (USCG) Maverick contract. The Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer/Architect will gather information concerning the capabilities of Company products, investigate the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions, and stay abreast of developments in hardware and software. This position is located in Kearneysville, WV and will be hybrid with 3 days a week on site. As the Journeyman Computer Systems Engineer/Architect, you will:

Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers
Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts
Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks
Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures
Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning
Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Active DoD Secret clearance
Bachelor’s Degree with 5 – 8 years of system engineering experience (or commensurate experience.)
8570 IAT II certification (i.e., Security+, CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GCSP, GSEC, SSCP)
