Job Description
- Perform technical analysis associated with the assigned task area for problems with specific objectives and requiring investigation of a limited number of variables
- Make recommendations on technical alternatives, component design or selection, and/or adaptation to meet assigned requirements
- Perform duties under supervision of senior engineer(s)
- Follow, perform, and record the results of the execution of a test plan
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science discipline required
- Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred
Experience:
- 2+ years of professional experience in the required task area
- Experience with Agile, CMMI\TSP\PSP, AS9100, or other process model for software development
- Knowledge reading and creating schematics and requirements documents
- Familiarization with software configuration management\defect tracking tools and peer reviews
- Knowledge of computing systems and software structure Experience creating flowcharts, diagrams, and other documentation in IBM DOORs or Microsoft Office
- Experience with DoDAF and modeling/simulation (e.g., CORE, Genesys, Azure, Jira, Confluence, etc.) would be helpful
- Knowledge of formal test planning, procedures, execution, and reporting would be helpful
- Military aircraft experience preferred
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Active DoD issued security clearance at level Secret or higher required
- Eligibility for Top Secret security clearance required
Physical Requirements:
- Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
- Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
- Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
- Must be able to perform business travel; Travel may involve multiple days/weeks
