Jr. Electrical Engineer

Do you wonder what makes buildings tick? LaBella Associates, is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer with a career interest in Building Projects to work in our Buffalo, NY office. This position will work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings from conception to construction. Individual will work closely with other engineers and team members to produce electrical engineering documents that detail designs for the built environment.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with an eagerness to learn new skills. Some of the duties the candidate may be involved in include:

• Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.
• Expected to improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengthens skills.

Requirements

• An interest in building systems, and a curiosity to want to learn more.
• Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in electrical engineering, engineering technology, or related field.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
• Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.
• Strong writing, organizational, and communications skills.
• This career requires an attention to detail; the details matter!
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
• Previous internship or relevant experience in the engineering field is a plus.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 per year

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
