We are seeking a Junior Part-Time Engineering Lab Technician to support our engineering team by assisting with daily lab operations and maintenance. This entry-level role is ideal for a student or early-career professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in an engineering environment. The technician will help keep the lab organized, ensure equipment and tools are properly maintained, and provide general support for engineering activities.
$25 - $25 an hour
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day lab organization and housekeeping to maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
Check and maintain lab equipment, tools, and instruments under supervision.
Track, restock, and organize lab supplies, components, and consumables.
Set up and break down workstations, test benches, and equipment as needed.
Support engineers with basic tasks such as labeling, cable management, or equipment preparation.
Document maintenance activities and report issues with tools or equipment.
Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
Current student or recent graduate in engineering, technology, or a related field preferred.
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Basic familiarity with lab or workshop tools (training provided).
Ability to stay organized and follow procedures carefully.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with basic computer applications (Excel, Word, data entry).
