Description
Title: KVCC Respiratory Therapy Program Laboratory Assistant
Salary: Contracted non-faculty position at $45/hour, 3-5 hours per week
Summary: KVCC is seeking two Respiratory Therapy Program Lab Assistants. The lab assistant will be assigned to work with students at one of the following locations: Bangor or Presque Isle.
Responsibilities:
Respiratory Therapy Laboratory Assistant plays a vital role in the education of our students. Responsibilities include assisting the Respiratory Therapy Faculty in:
- Teaching students how to perform clinical skills and competencies in the lab setting
- Supervising students in the lab setting
- Evaluating students on clinical competencies in the lab setting
- Coordinating lab space and equipment use at the off-campus lab site held at Eastern Maine Medical Center
Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential and an unencumbered Maine RRT license required
- 2 years of experience in the practice of respiratory care
- Demonstrated professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative work style are essential
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Teaching experience
