Laboratory Director - CQ certificate of qualification for NGS

The Laboratory Director is responsible for managing all laboratory operations, focusing on Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards while providing leadership in laboratory development and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee laboratory functions and ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards relevant to NGS technologies.
• Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Lead the laboratory staff, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient care and timely results reporting.
• Stay updated on advancements in molecular diagnostics and implement new technologies as appropriate.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, and laboratory equipment maintenance.
• Participate in accreditation processes and quality assurance programs.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and external auditors.
• Engage in research and development efforts to advance laboratory capabilities.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Current CQ (Certificate of Qualification) for NGS is required.
• Minimum of five years of experience in clinical laboratory management, specifically in molecular diagnostics and NGS.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations and accreditation standards (CLIA, CAP, etc.).
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
