Job Summary:
The Morrison Laboratory at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is a dynamic, fast-paced research laboratory focused on viral immunology and medical countermeasure development (i.e., therapeutics and vaccines). We seek a new team member to take a lead role in performing cutting-edge experimental science. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic group of scientists and develop key research skills. In addition, opportunities exist to learn state-of-the-art research techniques at the forefront of immunological and infectious disease research.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projects.
Perform experiments and tabulate and analyze research findings.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
One (1) year professional-level research experience.
The candidate must have experience with animal studies, immunological assays, and cell culture-based assays.
Substitution: Or a combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, chemistry, genetics or related field
Two (2) years of experience in an experimental or wet laboratory. The candidate must have experience with animal studies, immunological assays, and cell culture-based assays.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic laboratory safety procedures.
Experience with animal studies, immunological assays, and cell culture-based assays.
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with
employees at all levels throughout the laboratory and institution
Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
