Role
The Crew Leader is responsible for managing a small landscaping team and ensuring each project meets Varsity Mulching’s standards of quality, efficiency, and professionalism.
This is a seasonal leadership position running from mid-March through October 2025, with opportunities to return each year and advance within the company. Crew Leaders manage daily operations on-site, coordinate logistics, communicate with clients, and ensure that every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to our premium standards.

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a small team on-site, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to Varsity standards.
- Manage daily transportation of materials and equipment using company trucks and trailers.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients during projects—answering questions and ensuring satisfaction.
- Maintain job quality, safety, and pace while fostering teamwork and positive morale.
- Communicate regularly with management on project status, crew performance, and client feedback.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of landscaping experience
- Strong leadership potential and ability to manage a small team
- High character—honest, dependable, and committed to doing the right thing
- Valid driver’s license and ability to safely drive and back up a trailer
- Foreman or prior team leadership experience preferred

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
