Prairie Blue Landscapes, headquartered in Highland Park, Illinois, is seeking an experienced Landscaping Manager- Maintenance role to join the Prairie Blue Landscaping team.
Our Landscaping Manager- Maintenance role plays a vital role in supporting company operations and helping us grow to the next level.

We offer a competitive starting salary between $80,000-$95,000 annually depending on experience. We also offer group health insurance (single or family coverage; company pays 80% of a single premium, 50% of a family premium; eligible the first day of the month following two months of service), a 401(k) plan (employer match of up to 4% of your salary; eligible the first day of the month following one month of service), 10 days of paid time off per year, 40 hours of sick leave, paid holidays, and two weeks off on or around New Year's.
Requirements for the Landscaping Manager- Maintenance role:
- 3+ years leadership experience
- 5+ years of experience in landscaping maintenance;
- Quality control experience in landscape maintenance preferred;
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize;
- Must have a driver's license, along with a good driving record, and have familiarity with the tools and equipment of the trade.
Responsibilities of the Landscaping Manager- Maintenance role:
- Engaging direct reports in coaching sessions consistently throughout the year;
- Managing the logistics of daily operations to ensure that crews understand job priorities, labor needs and schedule changes;
- Monitoring maintenance crews to ensure they are achieving or exceeding budgeted quality and time goals.
- Rotating daily to job sites to ensure high standards of safety and quality workmanship are established and maintained;
- Managing paperwork, including time sheets and expense receipts, and software related to the Maintenance Department;
- Overseeing the timely and accurate procurement of materials for seasonal enhancements services and, delivery of subcontractor services related to turf care;
- Overseeing division equipment and fleet – coordinate with Shop Manager and Account Manager.
- Coaching and developing team members to ensure personal growth and an engaging culture.
- Serving as the strategic leader of the division.
