THE JOB:

The Lead IT Governance, Risk & Exposure Analyst will be responsible for strengthening and overseeing MGM's technology governance framework while managing IT risk and exposure activities. Serving as the subject matter expert for the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform, this role provides strategic guidance to internal teams and partners, ensuring adherence to governance standards and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include coordinating risk assessments, developing and tracking mitigation plans, maintaining governance documentation, monitoring key metrics, and delivering clear, data-driven risk reporting to ensure effective governance and informed decision-making across the enterprise.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Lead governance and oversight of the GRC platform, ensuring effective management of the risk register, continuous monitoring of technology risk data sources, and regular updates to regulatory frameworks such as NIST CSF, PCI, SOX, and MICS.

• Direct and coordinate enterprise risk assessments, translating complex risk issues into actionable insights, driving consensus on risk treatment, and identifying opportunities to strengthen internal controls.

• Provide governance leadership over third-party risk management, performing pre- and post-contract risk assessments and ensuring ongoing compliance with applicable information security and regulatory standards.

• Oversee third-party governance programs by managing vendor risk details and leveraging specialized tools to ensure transparency and accountability across the third-party ecosystem.

• Deliver strategic risk reporting and metrics to Senior Leadership, transforming data into meaningful, measurable insights that guide governance decisions and risk prioritization.

• Lead technology exposure and impact analyses, producing clear reports and presentations that communicate risk posture, control effectiveness, and governance outcomes to stakeholders

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Bachelor's degree required, with at least five years of experience in IT and information security risk and governance.

• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and standards, including SOX, SSAE18 (SOC), NIST CSF, and PCI DSS.

• Proven ability to lead governance and risk initiatives, with preferred experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.

• Demonstrated expertise in information security risk management, analysis, and control assessment within complex technology environments.

• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.

• High ethical standards, discretion, and the ability to operate in a 24/7 environment, ideally with experience in the hospitality or gaming industry.
