Job Description
Title: Lead Production Technician
Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.50/hr
Location: North Salt Lake, UT
Job Type: Full Time | Non-Exempt
Shift: Monday- Friday | 6:30am- 3:00pm

What You'll Do:
As a Lead Production Technician at Curaleaf, you'll oversee daily filling and packaging operations while guiding your team to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality cannabis products. You'll take ownership of daily operations and lead your team toward consistent, high-quality results by:
- Lead a team of Packaging Technicians in daily production tasks such as filling, weighing, sealing, labeling, and packaging a variety of cannabis products
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards while maintaining accurate data, batch records, and inventory tracking in the state's seed-to-sale system
- Drive production metrics (quantity, quality, productivity) and manage shift performance from startup to shutdown
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment or process issues, ensuring tools are clean, calibrated, and ready for use
- Train, coach, and support team members to uphold SOPs, GMP, and safety best practices
- Partner with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and workflow goals
- Support sanitation, biosecurity, and workplace safety initiatives such as the 5S program
- Conduct quality checks throughout the process to ensure each product is properly labeled, sealed, and packaged for compliant storage
What You'll Bring:
- Experience leading or mentoring a team in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
- You have clear and calm communication skills with strong attention to detail and organization
- The ability to follow production plans, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet deadlines
- A mechanical mindset with the ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot filling, sealing, and measurement equipment
- Comfort working with weights, measurements, and equipment calibration
- A dependable, honest, and collaborative approach that supports team success
- A proactive work ethic and a willingness to learn, grow, and continuously improve
- You have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time (8-10 hours per shift)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance
- Frequent and repetitive use of hands and wrists for extended periods of time
- Repetitive bending, squatting, and reaching
- Ability to climb ladders or step stools to access plants or equipment
- Ability to use required PPE when required, such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, scrubs, non-slip shoes, and Tyvek suits as necessary
Environmental Conditions
- Exposure to environments with high humidity, varying temperatures, and strong odors (such as cannabis)
- Exposure to soil, water, fertilizer, dust, pollen and plant pathogens
- Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol
- Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms
- Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels
