Lead Vascular Tech - McKenzie Vascular Group

Job Summary:
At McKenzie Vascular Group, vascular surgeons diagnose, treat, and manage conditions in your arteries and veins (blood vessels). These specialists treat a range of health problems, from varicose veins and ulcers to life-threatening abdominal aortic aneurysms and can help patients reduce their chances for stroke caused by carotid stenosis.
- Oversees vascular imaging daily operations, ensuring adherence to vascular imaging quality assurance standards.
- Works collaboratively with vascular surgeons, clinicians and administrative team.
- Responsible for training and oversees imaging procedures, evaluates, and tracks data, information and images used by the physician in all clinical decision making. Responsible for on going accreditation of the vascular program. Manages vendors and equipment, ensuring that equipment is functioning properly.
- Manages supplies and inventory.
- Performs routine and urgent diagnostic and therapeutic imaging studies.
- Processes results, develops reports, and archives images.
Education/Licensing:
- Hold an BS degree from an accredited Vascular Technology or Sonography program.
- Registered Vascular Technologist (ARDMS) or a Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI).
- Hold a current BLs provider card.
- Obtain Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) licensure by time of hire and maintain throughout employment based on OBMI standards.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 5 years' experience as a vascular ultrasound tech.
- Proficient in all job functions, job specific competencies, and stays up to date with industry standards.
- Working knowledge of accreditation programs, vendor, and equipment management.
- Proficient in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all equipment.
- Must possess strong interpersonal relations skills with a high sensibility to the needs of others, including the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients and their families, supervisors, peers, volunteers and other customers.
