Liaison EngineerLocation: On-site – San Antonio, TX | Salary: $80K - $100K | Employment: Full-Time Contract (3+ months)WHO WE AREAltitude Aerospace delivers engineering and certification solutions for commercial and VIP aircraft programs worldwide. With FAA DER, EASA DOA, and TCCA DAO approvals, we support customers from concept through certification and in-service. You'll coordinate damage assessments, facilitate repair approvals, and ensure technical alignment between field teams and engineering authorities. This is hands-on coordination work on active military aircraft with real-time problem solving.WHAT YOU’LL DOCoordinate & Communicate
- Act as primary liaison between field mechanics and OEM engineering staff for damage assessments and repair coordination.
- Review and document aircraft damage findings, capture photos and measurements, and prepare technical packages for engineering review.
- Facilitate technical discussions and telco meetings with OEM engineers to clarify repair requirements and obtain approvals.
- Maintain detailed logs of findings, repair status, and engineering dispositions throughout the project.
- Evaluate structural damage against SRM (Structural Repair Manual) and Service Bulletin criteria to determine repair paths.
- Identify when standard repairs apply versus when Boeing engineering approval is required for non-standard conditions.
- Work with mechanics to clarify technical questions and resolve field issues that could impact schedule or quality.
- Support Material Review Board (MRB) processes for damage disposition and repair authorization.
- 3+ years aircraft structures experience in design, stress analysis, MRB, or repair engineering
- Strong technical communication skills to explain complex engineering concepts to mechanics and coordinate with OEM engineers
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, SRMs, Service Bulletins, and technical specifications
- Comfortable working in aircraft hangar environment with mechanics and active maintenance operations
- Professional demeanor and reliability for client-facing coordination role
- Experience with Boeing commercial aircraft (737, 747, 767, 777) or military derivatives
- Background in MRB (Material Review Board) processes or repair development
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and certification requirements
- A&P license or hands-on aircraft maintenance experience
- Real Programs: Work on active military aircraft with Boeing and King Aerospace, not just studies or desk work
- Technical Exposure: Gain experience with specialized military platforms and OEM engineering processes
- Client Visibility: Direct interaction with client engineers and program management
- Career Growth: Potential for contract extension or future opportunities with Altitude's expanding US operations
- Location: Client facility, San Antonio, TX (on-site at aircraft)
- Duration: 3+ months (February 2026 - March 2026 minimum, high potential of extension)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday, 8-hour shifts (early shift 6AM-2PM or late shift 8AM-4PM)
- Housing & Travel: Company-provided extended-stay housing, rental car, and per diem included
- Equipment: Laptop, safety PPE, and technical tools provided by Altitude
- On-site role in San Antonio, TX for duration of contract
- Background check and drug screen required (client secure-facility access)
- U.S. person status required (ITAR-controlled aircraft)
- Available to start early February 2026
