Summit Veterinary Referral Center in Tacoma, WA, is looking for a dedicated individual to join our dynamic ER team. As an integral part of our Emergency & Critical Care department, you will collaborate closely with our board-certified Criticalists to deliver comprehensive patient care. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to exceptional veterinary medicine are essential for this role.Schedule:

Compensation:
- Sign On Bonus Available Up to $5000
- Hourly pay range: $30.00 - $40.00 depending on experience.
- Shift differentials: $3 per hour weekend day, $4 per hour weekday night, and $7 per hour weekend night.

Responsibilities:
- Provide proper handling and restraint of medically compromised patients.
- Perform triage, intake assessments, and monitor vital signs.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills in a fast paced emergency setting.
- Perform IV catheter placement and blood collection.
- Assist with various surgical procedures.
- Monitor, induce, maintain, and recover patients undergoing anesthetic procedures.
- Perform accurate drug calculations and administer controlled medications.
- Conduct in-house lab work and assist with advanced imaging such as X-ray and ultrasound.
- Assist with advanced procedures including endoscopy, biopsies, foreign body retrieval, and minimally invasive surgeries.
- 1 year ER/ICU experience
- Current WA state veterinary technician license.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in record-keeping.
