WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

Recruitment, Training & Development

  • Recruit, onboard, and train department managers and supervisors
  • Conduct annual performance appraisals for management and supervisory staff
  • Develop and mentor managers and supervisors to support career growth and operational excellence
  • Provide performance counseling and ensure all disciplinary and termination procedures comply with HOB guidelines
  • Facilitate effective inter-departmental communication and collaboration
  • Support team members in their job functions as needed

Ensuring Optimal Guest Experience

  • Maintain the appropriate HOB environment that reflects brand standards
  • Uphold all HOB guest service standards consistently
  • Maintain high-level guest relations and resolve issues proactively

Enhancing Revenue & Controlling Costs

  • Oversee HOB systems for cost controls and inventory management
  • Assist the General Manager in preparing annual budgets, planning processes, and quarterly operating plans
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate and enhance revenue
  • Manage controllable expenses and establish effective cost control systems
  • Take calculated, creative risks to enhance revenue opportunities

Ensuring Environmental Quality & Ambiance

  • Ensure the atmosphere supports a quality guest experience through attention to lighting, sound, temperature, cleanliness, sightlines, table maintenance, VIP seating, and overall presentation
  • Maintain and enforce standard operating procedures
  • Ensure all applicable health and safety requirements are met or exceeded

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:

  • State or county licensure/certification requirement and Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or equivalent
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of high-volume restaurant experience
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Proven experience managing purchasing, receiving, and inventory systems
  • Previous P&L responsibility and working knowledge of accounting principles

Preferred:

  • College degree
  • TIPS certification or equivalent
  • Responsible Alcohol Service certification

Physical Demands & Working Environment

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (for liquor pulls, beer kegs, etc.)
  • Work in a fast-paced, loud, and sometimes stressful environment
  • Frequent lifting and bending required
  • Ability to wear a radio earpiece during scheduled shifts
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
