Job Description

We are seeking a Locker and Facility Attendant who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand. The right Locker and Facility Attendant will include equal parts curious learner, detail driver, self-starter, and tech-savvy customer service expert.

As a Locker & Facility Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our locker rental facilities and surrounding areas are clean, safe, functional, and guest-ready throughout the day. You'll assist guests with locker rentals and issues, perform routine servicing and cleaning, and support overall park cleanliness and service in the revenue department. This role blends hands-on activity, customer service, and basic operational duties to help deliver a smooth, positive experience for every guest.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able to display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a courteous, helpful manner when they approach the locker area; assist with locker rental questions and operational issues
  • Answer guest questions about locker sizes, pricing, rental rules, and general usage policies
  • Help guests troubleshoot minor issues (e.g., PIN resets, door latch problems, jammed lockers) or escalate to maintenance/vendor support when needed
  • Perform daily inspections of locker units (locker handles, latches/locking mechanism, payment kiosks, receipt printers) to verify proper operation; report any units needing deeper maintenance
  • Use basic tools (screw drivers, drills, etc.) to perform routine service on lockers throughout the day ensuring all lockers remain operational
  • Track and report locker usage, maintenance issues, and revenue data; communicate with supervisors about recurring issues or suggestions for operational improvements
  • Participate in training sessions and seasonal briefings for locker operations, guest service protocols, and park policies
  • Monitor locker area to ensure it remains clean, orderly, and safe at all times
  • Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with Safety Standards or Procedures or presents a safety hazard to Guests or Hosts
  • Follows All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and uses associated injury prevention measures
  • When not directly working with lockers, support overall park cleanliness of dining and retail areas, assisting with restocking, sanitizing high traffic areas, wiping down surfaces, and garbage removal
  • Clean both interior and exterior surfaces of lockers using provided equipment and chemicals

Education and Experience Required

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Prior experience in customer service, guest-facing roles, hospitality, retail, or water-park environments preferred
  • Comfortable working in a water-park environment (heat, humidity, moisture, outdoor conditions), with a schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and variable hours
  • Comfortable performing basic hands-on service

  • Able to meet the physical demands of the job
  • Able to operate/drive a company vehicle with valid driver's license and insurance
  • Physical requirements include the ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, and possess manual dexterity to handle small tools

Physical and Cognitive Requirements

  • Lifting and Carrying: Position may require occasional to frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs utilizing company's safety guidelines for safe lifting
  • Mobility: Position may require intermittent to prolonged sitting, standing and/or walking for duration of shift, up to 13 hours. Employees may also be required to travel to various areas on property which may include changes in terrain, stairs and uneven surfaces
  • Repetitive Movements: This position may require performing repetitive movements and tasks throughout the shift, including repeated use of hands, arms or other body parts as part of typical job functions
  • Environmental Conditions: This position requires the ability to perform work tasks in varying weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat. Employees may be required to work indoors and outdoors
  • Cognitive and Sensory Requirements: This position requires strong cognitive skills, including the ability to think critically, solve problems, process and retain information, have attention to detail and communicate effectively using approved methods
