Job Description

The Logistics Exercise Planning Analyst designs and evaluates logistics elements of exercises to test sustainment capabilities and ensure MARCENT logistics readiness. This role plans and oversees logistics exercise injects and scenarios, collects and analyzes exercise data, produces after-action reports and recommendations, and integrates logistics assessments into overall MARCENT exercise outputs. With 5-7 years of experience and expertise at both Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) and component levels, the analyst develops comprehensive logistics exercise plans, coordinates with HQMC, CENTCOM, and other staff, and ensures logistics exercise design and execution meet mission requirements. By combining logistics planning expertise with exercise evaluation, the Logistics Exercise Planning Analyst enhances MARCENT's ability to validate readiness and sustainment operations through realistic training events. THIS EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Plan and oversee logistics exercise injects and scenarios.
  • Collect and analyze data from logistics exercise events.
  • Produce after-action reports and recommendations.
  • Integrate logistics assessment into overall MARCENT exercise outputs.
  • Integrate input from multiple logistics support activities to develop comprehensive exercise logistics plans.
  • Develop deployment and redeployment guidance for exercise participants.
  • Review proposed exercise logistics plans and provide supportability recommendations.
  • Generate and update exercise planning documents to improve logistics programs.
  • Review and contribute to MARCENT and CENTCOM exercise documents, including MSEL injects.
  • Recommend strategies to MARCENT staff and subordinate elements for achieving training objectives.

Supplemental Duties:

  • Support MARCENT leadership in identifying logistics training gaps and developing corrective actions.
  • Assist in drafting SOPs and checklists for logistics exercise planning and assessment.
  • Contribute to lessons learned processes to refine future logistics exercise design and execution.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain compliance with MARCENT administrative procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure logistics exercise documentation is archived according to records management standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Education/Experience/Qualification:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in logistics planning or military exercise support/with Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) process.
  • Expertise with Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) and component-level exercise planning at an expert proficiency level.
  • Ability to integrate inputs from multiple logistics support activities into comprehensive exercise plans.
  • Experience providing deployment and redeployment guidance for exercise participants.
  • Proven ability to review and refine logistics plans, supportability assessments, and planning document inputs.
  • Experience drafting exercise logistics MSEL injects and supporting MARCENT and CENTCOM training objectives.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to evaluate logistics exercise outcomes and derive actionable lessons learned.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills for working with HQMC, CENTCOM, and joint partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and exercise planning tools.
  • Organizational skills to track logistics exercise events and documentation effectively.

Location:

Primary workplace is MARCENT Headquarters, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.

Work Environment:

Office environment within a joint military/civilian/contractor staff. Includes participation in exercise planning conferences and execution events.

Physical Demands:

Primarily sedentary office work with extensive computer use. May involve travel to support exercises and field events.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday, 0800-1600.

May require flexibility during major exercises.

License and Other Requirements:

Valid U.S. Driver's License. Eligibility for issuance of a Common Access Card (CAC).

Travel:

May include CONUS and OCONUS travel to support logistics exercise planning and execution.
