Threat Tec has an immediate opening for an LREC Information Management Specialist to join our growing team supporting the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Special Operations Force Language Office (SOFLO) in Tampa, Florida. This position plays a critical role in the management and oversight of Language, Regional Expertise, and Culture (LREC) programs within the command. The specialist will ensure accuracy and effectiveness of LREC-related databases, training records, and reporting to align language and cultural readiness with operational requirements.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Contractor shall provide support for the databases and support shall consist of, but is not limited to, the following general responsibilities:
  • Database Management: Implement, maintain, enhance, and program foreign language databases, spreadsheets, and presentations. Ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and assistance to Program Managers, Data Analysts, and users on complex projects and resolve critical issues.
  • Program Improvement: Conduct studies and projects to improve database operations and support the USSOCOM LREC Program.
  • Standards Development: Contribute to the development and revision of data management system software standards.
  • Project Coordination: Plan and coordinate all phases of database management system upgrades, including installation, implementation, maintenance, and security.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor database usage and proactively address degradation or program-related changes.
  • System Troubleshooting: Serve as a primary troubleshooter, testing systems, identifying and resolving problems, and ensuring continuous operation.
  • Application Support: Provide development support for interfaces between user applications and database management systems.
  • Database Design: Create and modify physical database structures.
  • Data Recovery: Recover and restore databases in the event of failures or errors. Disaster Recovery: Evaluate, develop, and define disaster recovery and contingency plans.
  • Security Management: Coordinate and develop security strategies for database management systems.
  • Customer Support: Provide support to subordinate organizations regarding Foreign Language Proficiency Bonus payments, testing, and unit LREC Programs.
  • Reporting & Briefings: Assist SOF LREC Office personnel in the preparation of reports, charts, graphs, and briefings.

Required Qualifications

  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrated thoroughness and conscientiousness in work performance.
  • Customer Service: Proven ability to assess customer needs, provide assistance, and deliver quality products and services.
  • Oral Communication: Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear and convincing presentations and actively listen to others.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and make sound recommendations.

Specialized Experience

  • a. Required: Possess quality-level experience demonstrating knowledge, skills, and abilities in database management concepts, operations, design principles, and methodologies.
  • b. Knowledge: A comprehensive understanding of information analytics, data policies, standards, and logical database design.
  • c. Experience: Demonstrated experience creating presentations and delivering briefings to senior leadership.
  • d. Preferred: Master of Science Degree in Information Technology Management (MSITM) or 75% or more completion of an MSITM program and 3 or more years of experience in a comparable position.

Equivalent Experience
