Overview
Job Description
- Read and interpret blueprints and tolerances
- Use calipers, bore gages, standards, and go/no-go gages
- Set up, assemble, and disassemble mandrels
- True and maintain aluminum oxide and CBN stones
- Follow SOPs to produce accurate, safe, and consistent parts
- Maintain tooling and operating supplies
- Read and interpret blueprints and tolerances
- Use go gages and pin gages to measure spline data
- Set up and operate broach machines per SOPs
- Monitor broach wear and determine sharpening or replacement
- Maintain cutting fluids, oils, and shop supplies
- Load and run CNC programs
- Dress, true, and adjust wheels, RPM, and feed rates
- Use micrometers, calipers, and indicators
- Maintain coolant, oil, and filtration systems
- Prepare and ship parts for heat treatment
- Create heat-treat paperwork and package parts properly
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with Shipping
- Receive, file, and distribute work orders and paperwork
- Perform sandblasting when required
- Maintain good housekeeping standards to ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
- Ability to read blueprints and tolerances
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- CNC or precision machining experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and manage time.
- Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Willingness and ability to learn new processes, machines, and tooling in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Basic computer skills
