Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Eastern Market, Detroit, Michigan
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday; Saturday as scheduled
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
Signing Bonus: $2,000

We’re hiring a hands-on, experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support our production operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and is passionate about problem-solving, precision, and production uptime.
Your Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of industrial equipment, including pumps, valves, conveyors, gearboxes, and control panels.
- Assist with new production line installations and ensure smooth operations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Maintain organized, safe work areas and detailed maintenance records.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial machinery maintenance (required)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills for packaging machines, motors, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
- Welding and finishing skills (a plus).
- Prior experience in food manufacturing (highly preferred).
