Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at a manufacturing facility located in Florence, AL. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance personnel, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations in a high-volume industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians (mechanical, electrical, and/or controls)
Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures involving rubber processing, extrusion, molding, curing, and supporting systems
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, plant policies, and OSHA standards
Manage maintenance work orders, spare parts inventory, and maintenance documentation
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve equipment uptime and process reliability
Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment
Analyze equipment performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Support budget planning and cost-control efforts related to maintenance activities
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade certification preferred
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior supervisory or lead maintenance experience required
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and motor-driven systems
Familiarity with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs
Ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred Experience
Background in rubber, plastics, automotive, or heavy manufacturing
Experience with PLC troubleshooting
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement exposure
Maintenance planning or reliability-centered maintenance (RCM)
