Maintenance Technician

Location: Arvada, COSchedule: Full-Time, Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PMCompensation: Based on experiencePay: $30.29 - $34.62 per hour

About Us

Evoke Behavioral Health is a locally owned and operated organization providing high-quality, center-based behavioral health, mental health, and special education services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and co-occurring diagnoses. In 2025, we opened our newly renovated, state-of-the-art facility in Arvada, CO, which includes two playgrounds, a full gym, and specialized sensory and academic spaces.

We are currently hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Arvada team. This is a full-time role for a responsible, experienced, and hands-on individual who can work independently and support a wide range of maintenance needs. You will be joining a team that includes an existing Maintenance Technician and will serve as a lead resource for more complex projects and facility upkeep.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for day-to-day upkeep of the facility, including repairs, installations, groundskeeping, and safety inspections. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and experience in general trades such as carpentry, electrical, or mechanical maintenance.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a clean, functional, and professional environment for staff and students—and who can work independently with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities

  • General facility repairs and improvements (e.g., drywall, carpentry, minor electrical)
  • Light janitorial tasks and equipment cleaning
  • Paint touch-ups and wall repair
  • Replacing filters, light bulbs, and minor equipment maintenance
  • Assembly and repair of furniture and classroom equipment
  • Installation and reinforcement of adaptive or playground equipment
  • Light landscaping, snow removal, and groundskeeping
  • Cleaning and light maintenance of company vehicles
  • Coordinating service and repair needs for company vehicles
  • Supporting safety and compliance efforts for building upkeep
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Schedule

  • Tuesday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
  • Occasional flexibility may be requested for special projects or emergencies

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Colorado driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a state and federal background check (including fingerprinting)
  • Occupational physical and TB test (provided by company)
  • Experience using power tools and common repair materials
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs repeatedly without restriction
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical trades
  • Experience working in school, commercial, or healthcare environments
  • Familiarity with basic safety protocols and ADA compliance
