Job Description

Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Multiple – Barre, Montpelier areaReports To: Supervisor Buildings & GroundsJob Type: Full TimeRecruiting at multiple levels of experience.Job Summary:Elevate your career with us! We're on the lookout for skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining our diverse range of properties. Responding to help desk tickets and tackling emergency tasks will be second nature to you.Please note:  This position is being recruited at multiple levels. Duties & Responsibilities May Include:
  • Mastering the art of interior painting
  • Showcasing your green thumb through expert groundskeeping
  • Embracing the winter wonderland with efficient snow shoveling
  • Stepping in as a backup for Janitorial and Housekeeping
  • Perfecting the craft of taping and mudding drywall/MDO
  • Skillfully replacing drywall/MDO
  • Becoming a door hanging and hardware installation maestro
  • Unleashing your creativity through woodworking/carpentry
  • Navigating plumbing/heating challenges with ease
  • Illuminating spaces with your electrical expertise
  • Other exciting duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • A pristine driving record and access to a safe, secure, and insured vehicle.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:
    • Carpentry
    • Drywall
    • Plumbing/Heating
    • Electrical
Wage ranges for this position:Maintenance Technician 1 - $19.58 - $20.17Maintenance Technician 2 - $21.29 - $21.94Maintenance Technician 3 - $21.83 - $22.50Rate of pay will be offered will be determined on an evaluation of skills, education, experiences, and other relevant factors.Seize the opportunity for a competitive salary, tailored to your skills and experience. Physical Requirements:
  • Showcase your strength by lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Tackle general groundskeeping tasks, including snow shoveling
  • Cruise between agency locations in your own vehicle
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Demonstrate precise tasks requiring hand-eye coordination
  • Execute repetitive tasks without breaking a sweat
  • Ensure good vision and hearing for safety
  • Thrive in potentially hazardous environments
  • Adhere to safety protocols and embrace PPE
