Job Description

The Manager of Adult Outpatient Services will provide program management and oversight, including supervisory responsibilities, to Adult Outpatient teams including the Adult Outpatient Program and the Adult Collaborative Care Clinic.
Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field required.
- Clinical License (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LP) required.
- At least three years of mental health treatment experience required.
- Experience working with adults with mental health and co-occurring substance use concerns and their families.
- Sound clinical knowledge pertaining to this population including diagnosis, trauma-informed care, treatment planning, and recovery principles.
- Experience in clinical supervision of clinical staff; at least 2 years providing clinical supervision strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of population served, agencies, and providers who work with adults with mental health needs.
- Knowledge of recovery-based care, stages of change, episodes of care, motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and various evidence based, trauma informed, and culturally competent treatment modalities.
- Knowledge of, and experience using, DBT required; certification preferred but not required.
- Commitment to ongoing knowledge acquisition of best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with chain of command, direct reports, team members, and interdepartmentally.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Good organizational skills in order to prioritize and manage projects effectively.
Essential Duties:
- Provide leadership and supervision to the outpatient clinicians on the Adult Outpatient team, including supervision for the Adult Outpatient program coordinator and Adult Collaborative Care Clinic program coordinator.
- Interview and hire staff, as well as provide training and onboarding for new hires; provide ongoing supervision and oversight to ensure that all Adult Outpatient staff adhere to Jefferson Center policies and procedures.
- Oversight of Red Rocks Community College contract and supervision of the associated clinicians.
- Oversight of the Employment Focused clinician, who is co-located at the Jefferson County Human Services building serving Employment Works and TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) clients. This clinician also offers clinical lens and caseload management for the Vocational Services team.
- Provide float coverage for open positions and/or staff on leave.
- Complete performance and supervisory evaluations & Stay Interviews for staff assigned by the Program Director.
- Consult with clinicians on high-risk cases and make appropriate referrals to higher levels of care such as Emergency Services for crises and/or Adult Intensive Services.
- Review and approve clinical records and treatment plans for clinicians within the chain of command. Provide training and support around strength-based treatment plans that contain measurable goals and are culturally relevant.
- Maintain responsibility for special projects and generate specific data reports as determined by the Program Director.
- Participate in various inter-agency committees as requested by the Director.
- Participates in supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Reports high risk/problem cases. Uses a problem-solving approach as well as feedback. Attends supervision at times and intervals agreed upon with supervisor.
- Demonstrates cultural competency and humility in working with staff and clients, completes continuing education in this area on a regular basis and as requested by Director.
- Participate in the Center's training/ educational programs as required for licensure requirements and professional development initiatives.
- Exhibits enthusiasm, respect, adaptability, flexibility and spirit of cooperation in the work environment to foster recovery concepts among program staff.
- Effectively responds to client/consumer needs and problems, initiates and maintains positive interactions, timely response to phone calls (48 business hours), e-mail (24 hours), and other requests.
- Maintains interpersonal relationships and partnerships; works cooperatively with other community agencies as appropriate. Volunteers to work on Center committees and/or task forces.
- Utilize Avatar (electronic health record or EHR) reports and Power BI dashboards to assist clinicians with case load management, case closures and transfers, document tracking, and other EHR related duties.
- Monitors, coaches, and directs clinicians on implementing strategies to reach performance measurement benchmarks.
- Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range - $74,800 - $93,000*
Additional Salary Information*:
The salary range above is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.*
