Job Description
Summary:The Manager, Supply Chain Purchasing is responsible for a staff of Purchasing Specialists while overseeing the various processes related to inventory and purchasing. The candidate should have the ability to mentor others, understand the impact of related transactions on Sales and Finance; find improvements in the current process, and work with various departments within the organization.
Essential Job Duties
Personnel Management
Drive their team to meet or exceed assigned KPIsManage staff and their activities for completeness, accuracy, and timeliness to ensure compliance with established team objectives.Provide mentoring and motivation to team members, which include assisting in the preparation of goals and periodic review of results.Review and prepare (as needed) reporting to ensure accurate, and timely reporting of financial resultsProvide recommendations to SWAT team for improvements based upon trend analysis and technical research
Inventory:
Oversee inventory mix and level to achieve goals and sales objectivesOversee stock rotation and obsolescence reviewOversee pricing guidance in system
Planning:
Work with Solutions Hubs and Vendor Business Managers to align inventory levels and product mix as they pertain to programs and objectivesOversee engagement with vendor operations teams to ensure receipt of goods as required for plans
Business Efficiencies:
Work with vendors on new product launch purchases, constrained products, etc.Work with vendors to outline ways they can improve packaging, shipping, or operations related topics as a way to continually improve ease of doing business
Understand and maintain controls related to the above mentioned functions.Perform special projects as necessary.Regular attendance is an essential function of the Manager, Supply Chain Data position
Reporting Relationships
Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain Purchasing, VP Supply ChainPosition requires interfaces with Business Unit and Financial Leaders as well as Vendor Managers and Vendors
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and four years relevant experienceProficient in MS Office Products, Especially ExcelMicrosoft Office Specialist (MOS) Expert
Preferred
Proficiency in foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German)SAP Experience
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time.Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for this positionAbility to travel 1 - 10% of the timeAbility to lift 10 pounds
Compensation:Base Range : $60,000 - $68,000 and total compensation range $75,000 - $85,000Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.For non-sales roles and sales roles with a variable component, total compensation reflects both a base salary and variable targets.While we're committed to providing top-tier solutions, we're just as committed to supporting our own team.
