Offered Wage: $149,947

Job Description: Provide expertise in electrical engineering with a focus on Converter Systems, Pitch Systems, PLC-based Turbine Control Systems, Generators, and Transformers. Oversee and coordinate 1st and 2nd-level support, conduct remote fault analysis and investigate errors. Manage escalated technical issues, developing safe, professional, and cost-effective solutions. Create, update, and maintain work instructions for U.S. based repair teams, contributing to the DWT library of services. Design, review, and refine maintenance and repair strategies specific to wind farms in the U.S. Lead technical root cause analyses for component failures, ensuring effective resolution and prevention. Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to meet internal cost-reduction objectives. Coordinate with the global engineering team on technical tasks. Lead and support fault analysis and error investigations onsite. Create, update, and maintain repair work instructions for U.S. field sites. Collaborate with headquarters engineering on additional technical issues. Generate detailed repair reports to confirm repairs meet Deutsche Windtechnik’s quality, material, and procedural standards. Analyze fleet performance and telemetry data to extend mean time between failures, reduce downtime, and boost overall production. Attend relevant workshops to stay updated on the latest advancements in the wind industry. Assist the supply chain team in identifying and vetting qualified U.S. based vendors for turbine parts.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 3 years of experience in identifying and resolving issues with complex electrical systems, including Power Converters, and Power Electronics Systems, as well as involved with SCADA Interfaces or Systems; 3 years of experience with converter systems and PLCs, system design, and managing technical teams. Up to 50% domestic and 10% international travel required.
