Manages the daily operations of the Social Work staff to provide effective and efficient counseling service to patients in accordance with policies and procedures consistent with the Mission, Vision and Values of the Jefferson Health Enterprise.Job Description
Active NJ LSW or LCSW required.
Essential Functions:
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
- Supervises the Social Work staff at identified hospitals
- Responsible for the recruitment, hiring and onboarding of all new Social Work staff
- Participates in updating departmental policy as it applies to Social Work related activities
- Actively participates in relevant hospital administrative meetings representing the department
- In conjunction with the Director, collaborates with Hospital Leadership team to establish and implement departmental functions and goals in accordance with departmental, hospital and enterprise strategic initiatives and goals.
- Responsible for completing performance evaluations for all identified staff
- Responsible for completing/participating in completion of annual employee performance evaluations of identified staff.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Graduate from an accredited Masters of Social Work program required.
AND
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospital based Social Work required. Prior management
experience required.
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:
Active NJ LSW or LCSW required. Preferred in Pennsylvania
