Job Description

Please note this is an on-site role at the 7 Title Morristown location (1728 W Andrew Johnson Highway, Morristown, TN 37814).
Role: Manages and oversees a 7 Title branch location, including timely preparation and delivery of title search products; funding and balancing of loan files; monitoring controls in balancing and reconciling the company's escrow accounts; reporting production and service metrics; understanding functionality and application of title software. The Manager Title Office also manages all closing functions of the title branch location, including timely preparation and delivery of closing documents; scheduling closings, monitoring closing schedules; building referral relationships and ensuring all service standards are being met.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manages the 7 Title branch location, including managing personnel. Evaluates employee performance. Trains staff to ensure continual development of employees. Reviews and approves timesheets and time off requests. Provides feedback and ratings to employees through the use of performance metrics and coaching.
- Closes loans by managing individual closing pipelines ensuring balance of work between internal and external closing agents and to meet the needs of the business. Reviews title commitments and final title policies ensuring proper investigation of title was performed prior to signing. Thoughtfully reviews potential conditions and exceptions needed to commit to offering and granting title insurance.
- Manages the preparation, review and delivery of title search products to lenders. Performs routine follow up on turn times and look for ways to improve the process. Manages the process of the reviewing of title commitments and final title policies and ensuring the proper investigation by employees prior to the document being submitted for signature by a licensed agent.
- Manages the funding process including balancing of files, recording of legal documents, and delivery of loan packages to lenders in a timely manner. Manages post close service to lenders to ensure industry standard service.
- Works closely with the licensed title agent as well as the President of 7 Title to mitigate risk by using sound decision making practices in regard to the commitment and ultimate issuance of title insurance.
- Manages the process of preparation, review and delivery of closing documents to lenders and clients. Performs routine follow-up on turn times and looks for ways to improve the process. Oversees the loan scheduling and closing process in the department to ensure the highest quality client experience while maintaining efficiency and convenience.
- Promotes an environment of business development by leading the team to develop new referral relationships, servicing existing relationships, promoting the company, attending social functions, encouraging social media and online engagement, and other appropriate activities.
- Responsible for the reporting of key company performance metrics. To include the reporting capabilities of the title software as well as reports generated for management of the business. Responsible for detailed oversight of the Title Escrow Account.
- Manages the vendor contracts of the branch operation. Includes ensuring that all outside relationships and/or vendor contracts are up to date and quality standards and timeliness are being met. Ensures proper coverages are in place in the form of E&O Insurance.
- Serves as a “working” manager filling any need of the branch as well as serving as the backup to all positions. Fills in where needed during busy times or during periods where staff members are unavailable. Ensures good business continuity and good client service as the leader of the branch operation. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience: Five or more years of experience in the mortgage or mortgage title industry, or in a related field is required. Prior title company closing agent experience preferred. Experience in a leadership position preferred.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience is required. Possession or ability to obtain the Tennessee Insurance Producers License specific to title insurance is preferred.
