Job Description

Purpose

The Marketing Communications Specialist supports organizational priorities and patient care through marketing communications to staff, patients, partners, government officials, donors and the public. This position is responsible for day-to-day execution of digital content, social media, newsletters and projects with a high level of independence once with strategy and guidance have been provided. This position reports to the Chief of Community Engagement and is part of the Marketing Communications department and collaborates across departments and sites to ensure our story and messages resonate with the communities we serve.

Compensation:

  • The target wage range for this position is $77,417.60 to $94,733.60 annually
  • Final offers are individually based on various factors, including skill set, years of experience, location, qualifications, work schedule and other job-related reasons

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring brand and messaging compliance throughout the organization.
  • Produce, write and design content for external communications including website, paid and earned media, public newsletters and patient communication/marketing materials. Work closely with senior leaders, clinic administrators, site medical/dental directors and other staff members to ensure content is accurate and aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Maintain a proactive, data-informed editorial calendar that reflects organizational priorities, seasonal needs, and community engagement opportunities.
  • With strategic guidance, own the day-to-day management of Neighborcare's social media presence including planning, scheduling, and publishing content across social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Independently monitor, respond, and engage with comments and reviews on public facing platforms in a timely manner, representing Neighborcare Health professionally, while maintaining privacy requirements for patients as required by law.
  • Assist in development and execution of marketing and advertising strategy and campaigns that support patient, donor, and partner engagement with a focus on brand identity and reputation.
  • Support planning and production of videos, including coordinating schedules, meeting with staff, patients, donors and agency partners. Manage photo and video asset database.
  • Assist in production of events, including coordinating speakers and guests, developing presentations, and developing talking points; collaborate across teams and departments for these events.
  • Monitor and prepare reports on market interaction (website, digital communications, marketing campaigns).
  • Maintain an organized story bank of patient, staff, and community stories that showcase the impact of our work.
  • Other duties as assigned

KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

Required for this job:

  • Experience working with content management systems for social media and websites.
  • Experience using email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact.
  • Must be a confident communicator and presenter.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills, including ability to present concepts verbally; strong ability to simplify health care language for patients.
  • Basic graphic design skills and experience with working with professional designers and print houses.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Superior project management and time management skills and excellent attention to details while keeping an eye on the strategic goals.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media; experience creating and executing social media plans.
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to work.

Preferred for this job:

  • Experience communicating and marketing to low-income, immigrant communities, and non-English speakers.
  • Proficient with graphic design in Canva.
  • Experience managing social media professionally.
