Job Title: Qualified Behavioral Health Provider

Location: Indianapolis, IN.

Job Summary:

Qualified Behavioral Health Providers are trained professionals who work under the supervision of a licensed therapist or psychologist who help individuals, families, and couples address and overcome various mental health challenges. They provide a range of therapeutic services within their associated geographical region, field and scope of practice such as counseling, psychotherapy, and behavior modification techniques. As a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider, your primary responsibility is to assess, diagnose, and treat clients/patients based on their individual needs. This involves conducting thorough assessments to understand their presenting concerns, gathering relevant background information, rendering a diagnosis, and formulating a treatment plan.

Qualified Behavioral Health Providers utilize evidence-based interventions and techniques to help clients develop coping strategies, improve their relationships, and enhance their overall well-being. Required credentials include provisional professional licenses in the fields of counseling, social work, and/or marital/family therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing clinical services and evidence based/best treatment to assigned caseload:

  • Assigned caseload could include coverage across service line for treatment including, but not limited to, assessment, therapy, skills development, and case management services.

Provide crisis intervention/emergency services:

  • By assessing risk, development of safety plans, reporting of any abuse or neglect, coordinating hospitalization or any other emergency situations.

Communication and collaboration with collateral contacts:

  • By consulting with providers regarding integrated health, current function, medication related- issues, educations support, and any other care related to client/families.

Develop and maintain effective relationships:

  • By maintaining open and professional communication with Team Leaders, clients/families, other consumers/constituencies, referral sources, staff/team members

Accountability and Documentation:

  • By completing documentation timely and accurately, maintaining ethical standards of Adult & Child, maintaining proficiency in the EHR

Service Delivery Expectations:

  • By meeting the identified service delivery expectation for your position

Creating a professional environment:

  • By promoting open communication and building upon the strengths of the team

Meet the metrics assigned to this position:

  • Service Delivery: by meeting the expected position percentage by pay period and YTD

  • Notes Timeliness: By submitting notes within 48 hours after service 95% of the time

  • Documentation Timeliness: Submitting all other documentation to meet timeliness standards

  • Working Towards Licensure: By attending supervision 2x/month

  • Be a team player demonstrating professionalism and collaboration

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Customer Service oriented

  • Reliable, responsible and dependable

  • Ability to work as a team and independently

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and working within an electronic health record system

  • Ability and willingness to travel

Experience and/or Education Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related field.

  • Must be license eligible (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, etc.)

Supervisory Requirements:

  • None

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.

  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.

  • All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.

  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:

ADA Consideration- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
