Job Description
Connelly School of the Holy Child is excited to announce an opportunity for a creative and passionate individual to host /facilitate an activity/project at our Mayfield Market Event on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9 am – 11am. This special event focuses on fostering creativity and holiday spirit through engaging arts and craft activities for the children who attend Mayfield Market. We hope to offer 2-3 activities for children aged 8-12 – teaching and showcasing our talented faculty/staff and school. Activities that are both creative and educational for our young guests to register. This is a new opportunity to bring potential and future tigers and their brothers to our school on Saturday morning, November 15.
The Stipend for these 4 hours (which includes prep and post-project) is $250.
Responsibilities:
- Design and lead hands-on workshop(s) for children so they can leave the event with a keepsake.
- Instruct participants on various techniques and mediums, including painting, drawing, and crafting seasonal decorations or a STEM-related experiment/project.
- Facilitate a fun and creative environment that encourages self-expression and collaboration among participants.
- Assist with the setup and organization of the art and craft area during the event.
- Work closely with the Development Team to set a budget and determine supplies needed to ensure a seamless event experience for our young guests. Advise about the supplies and costs prior to purchase.
- Provide guidance and encouragement to students, fostering a love of art STEM and creativity.
- Engage with parents and community members regarding the holiday project.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience teaching.
- Strong knowledge of various art techniques, craft materials and/or STEM projects.
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to collaborate with other teachers and staff members.
- Passion for encouraging creativity, artistic expression and STEM curiosity in our children.
