An Internal Mechanical Project Coordinator is responsible for executing and overseeing projects from initiation to shipment. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards and stakeholder expectations. In this role the Project Coordinator is expected to be able to assist the production technicians with Mechanical design questions and quality issues.
Key Responsibilities
Some engineering functions, which include but may not be limited to:
Answering machine shop questions. (drawing or material questions)
Mechanical drawings (Siemens NX).
ERP interaction (SAP).
Checking the quality of supplier assemblies and machined parts.
Managing Project Schedule and Cost
Frequent internal and external customer contact.
Scope of supply meetings via phone or Teams.
Project questions and updates as required.
Maintaining Valmet goals and target margins.
Qualifications
A BS in Mechanical Engineering or an Associates in Mechanical Design.
Some exposure to 3D modeling software.
Exposure to project processes is a plus.
Exposure to Operational Excelence, Excellence and Lean and Six Sigma Processes
Must have the desire and ability to work with a highly competent team.
