InnovaCare Management Services Company, LLC Job DescriptionThe Medical Assistant (MA) role supports the clinical and administrative functions, including assisting with medical procedures, maintaining exam rooms, managing patient intake, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.ResponsibilitiesAssists providers with patient examination, procedures, and treatment.Responsible for patient histories, routine lab procedures and preparation of specimens for transport to the lab.Follows up on test orders and reports results to provider and patient, provides and maintains patient education materials, maintains medical equipment, and orders clinical supplies.Creates and maintains patient electronic medical record (EMR).Complies with all OSHA and CLIA regulations.Performs other duties as assigned.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time, with or without notice.Requirements and QualificationsEducation/TrainingHigh school graduate or equivalentMedical Assistant Certificate issued by an accredited institution approved by the State licensed to work, or at least (1) year experience working in a health care setting that includes direct patient contactPhysical & Mental RequirementsAbility to stand for long periods and move freely within the clinic settingAbility to exert up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.Ability to keyboard and to communicate clearly and understandably in person, and over the telephone.
