- Perform blood draws as per the required instructions provided by the lab.
- Follow state guidelines and standards
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment by applying principles of medical asepsis and infection control techniques and universal precautions
- Liaise with admin and other medical team members pre and post-therapy and participate in shared decision making
- Accurately use the online booking systems
- Assist with callbacks to patients with questions.
- Provided documentation to the Admin team for submission to EHR
- Prepare and track inventory to maintain 100% in stock of supplies
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Completes other tasks within the scope of the medical assistant including administrative tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Compassionate attitude and dedication to providing exceptional patient care.
- Critical thinking, compassionate, non-judgmental, with attention to detail, and organized. Calm under pressure and ability to work unsupervised.
- Needs to be a patient listener, a good communicator, and demonstrate the ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources.
