Location: Hagerstown, MD 21740

Schedule: Full-time (40 hours), Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary Range: $20 – $22 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Assistant to join our well-established OB/GYN practice in Hagerstown, Maryland. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, a compassionate approach to patient care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position focuses exclusively on clinical duties and offers an opportunity to play a key role in supporting high-quality women’s healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Patient Support: Prepare patients for examinations, record vital signs, and assist providers during clinical procedures.
• Clinical Duties: Perform routine clinical tasks such as specimen collection, chart preparation, and patient instruction.
• Injections: Administer injections as directed by providers (preferred qualification).
• Documentation: Accurately document patient information, clinical notes, and treatments in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient flow and coordinated care.
• Patient Experience: Provide professional, friendly, and respectful interactions with patients at all times.
• Compliance: Follow HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and all clinical safety protocols.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or completion of an accredited program resulting in a certificate or associate degree in Medical Assisting.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a medical assistant.
• Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multitasking abilities. Strong computer and EMR proficiency.
• Commute: Must be able to reliably commute to Hagerstown, MD 21740.
• Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Prior OB/GYN clinical experience.
• Experience administering injections.
