As a Medical Device Technician at StemWave, you’ll be part of the team that builds and supports life-changing technology used by clinicians and patients every day. You’ll work hands-on with devices — assembling, repairing, testing, and ensuring quality standards are met — while collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with technician experience in a medical device, manufacturing, or mechanical environment who wants to advance their career, learn new technologies, and grow with a company that’s scaling quickly. As the company expands, this role also offers the chance to develop deeper technical expertise and pursue future growth paths in areas like quality assurance, leadership, or specialized product support.

What You’ll Do

Device Assembly & Repair

  • Assemble and repair medical devices according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Perform component installation, mechanical assembly, and basic wiring tasks

  • Diagnose issues and complete necessary repairs using hand tools and test equipment

Testing & Quality Control

  • Conduct functional tests and quality inspections to ensure device reliability and performance

  • Record findings and collaborate with QA teams to address quality issues

Technical Support & Maintenance

  • Support troubleshooting efforts for returned or malfunctioning devices

  • Document all repair activities, parts usage, and service outcomes

Process Support & Improvement

  • Assist in refining production processes and suggest improvements based on hands-on experience

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance assembly and repair workflows

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of experience in medical device assembly, manufacturing, or technical repair (or related field)

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to quality

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Ability to lift up to 150 lbs and support shipping/receiving activities as needed

  • Passport required for occasional international travel

  • Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques

  • Quality assurance and testing procedures in regulated environments

  • Process improvement and workflow optimization

  • Cross-functional collaboration with engineering, QA, and operations
