Medical Oncology Authorization/Billing Specialist

Summary:

• Perform benefit verification and authorization for medications and Oncology-related diagnostics.

• Review orders, understand treatment plans, and work with insurer to confirm authorization of high-dollar regimens prior to treatment delivery.

• Enter inpatient charges.

• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with Providers, patients, families, other staff, and outside agencies both in-person and by phone.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• In-depth knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, HMO, and other third-party billing requirements.

• Experience with authorizations and/or Oncology strongly preferred.

• Ability to speak English clearly and fluently.

• Basic computer skills.

• Excellent communication customer service skills.

Hybrid after training

M-F, no holidays or weekends
