Job Description

Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Representative

Medical Receptionist / Front Desk Chesapeake ENT, a division of Chesapeake Specialty Care, is seeking a Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Specialist to join our team.

This role requires regular travel between up to four office locations: Owings Mills, Rosedale, Columbia, and Westminster. Candidates must be flexible and able to work at different offices based on business needs.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday only (no weekends)

  • 8-hour shifts scheduled between the hours of 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Welcome, register, check in, and check out patients

  • Schedule patient appointments efficiently across multiple locations

  • Collect copays and patient balances

  • Assist patients with insurance, billing questions, and documentation

  • Ensure all patient paperwork is complete and accurate

  • Scan and process referrals and medical records

  • Assist with chart preparation and filing

  • Maintain reception area in a neat and professional condition

  • Provide coverage and support at multiple offices as assigned

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Minimum 1 year of medical front desk or receptionist experience preferred

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in basic office tasks such as typing, filing, and scanning

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to assist patients who may be ill, elderly, or distressed

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to different office locations regularly

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Graduate of a certified medical office training program preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed
