Medical Record TechnicianJob Description
Medical Record Technicians are responsible for prepping, scanning, quality review of scanning, analysis of scanned accounts, and fixing duplicate phone encounters. Interacts with medical staff, nursing, ancillary departments, provider offices, and outside organizations
Responsibilities
Assists with boxpickup/storage in the
warehouse, as needed.
Organize and follow record
retention guidelines with
medical records and business
documents in the warehouse., Check and analyze applicable
medical record documentation
for clinical completeness and
scanning accuracy. Meets
established quality standards., Fix duplicate phone
encounters. Meets
established quality standards., Prep and scans medical record
documentation. Meet
established production standards., Rec. Check and analyze inpatient
and outpatient medical
records. Meet established
production standards., Retrieve medical records from
patient care areas for
processing of documentation., Retrieves and files clinic
medical records in on-site
warehouse storage within time
line requested by customer.
Deliver medical records to
customer. Will take customers
needing business documents
from the on-site Warehouse
storage and assist them with
location of stored information., Verifies medical record documentation for 100% accuracy. Meet established production standards.
