Job Description

Power Platform Developer 

Location: Glen Allen, VA (First week on-site, then remote; occasional office attendance as needed)Type:  Long-Term Contract Interview Process: Virtual, 60 minutesResidency Requirement: Candidates must reside in Virginia

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Power Platform Developer on a long-term project within their Information Technology division. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and supporting Microsoft Power Automate flows and scripts, with a focus on automation within SharePoint Online.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide post-implementation support for Power Automate scripts
  • Develop new Power Automate scripts as needed
  • Optimize and improve efficiency of existing Power Automate scripts
  • Enhance documentation and process flows related to Power Automate scripting
  • Assist in converting existing workflows into Power Automate within SharePoint Online

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, including Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Power Automate (both Desktop and Cloud flows), including building, deploying, and managing workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online integration, including migrating or transforming legacy workflows to the Power Platform.
  • Proficiency in automation scripting, testing, and troubleshooting, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong process documentation and technical writing skills, with the ability to create and maintain detailed flow/process documentation for end-users and team members.
  • Ability to optimize and refactor existing flows for enhanced efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Working knowledge of related Microsoft 365 services, such as Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive, as they relate to Power Automate integrations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with functional and technical teams, stakeholders, and end-users.

Additional Information

  • The assignment will begin on-site for the first week (first day at the client’s headquarters, remainder in Glen Allen).
  • All candidates must reside in Virginia and be available for a virtual interview.
