Mid-level Occupational Health and Safety Specialist

The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team is looking for a Mid-level Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join the growing Site in Kennedy Space Center (KSC), FL.
 

We have a rare opportunity for a Safety Specialist to support company space programs on KSC. These developmental programs offer an opportunity for the successful candidate to work on new and exciting stages of development.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and monitors occupational health and safety programs and processes

  • Develops and provides training and instructions

  • Evaluates the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations

  • Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections

  • Plans and conducts health and safety audits

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years performing Occupational Safety in an industrial environment

  • 3+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

  • 3+ years of assessing and evaluating risk

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience implementing or managing an environmental, health and safety management system

  • Willing to expand their knowledge in various safety disciplines

Summary pay range for: $89,250 - $120,750
