Job Description

All Machine Operators are responsible for machining components accurately, performing quality checks to verify product output, and keeping records of production quantities. Level II Operators also are accountable for completing necessary setup operations and basic troubleshooting, Position may at times involve other related work in the department.

1st shift: 6:00 am- 2:30 pm, M-F.

2nd shift: 2:45 pm- 12:45 am, M-TH

Job location: Racine, WI

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Salary: $18-25 based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate milling, lathe, and broaching machines according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce quality components.
  • Inspect and measure parts using calipers, veneers, micrometers, and/or height gauges, CMMs and other precision instruments.
  • Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds to optimize machining performances.
  • Perform machine setups. tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to ensure accuracy.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot issues related to tooling, programming, or part quality.
  • Organize and maintain accurate production records, documentation, and quality control logs.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineers and programmers to improve processes and resolve production challenges.
  • Uphold safety standards and comply with company and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or technical certification in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating CNC milling machines (HAAS, Mazak, Fanuc, DMG Mori, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of G-code, CNC controls, and machining principles.
  • Proficient with precision measurement tools and GD&T.
  • Solid understanding of computer ERP system (Epicor)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs., standing nearly 100% and occasional bending, squatting throughout the workday.
