Job Description
Fabtronic Inc. is looking for a skilled Mold Maker/Machinist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining molds used in the injection molding process. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring the production of high-quality plastic components while meeting tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to create and repair molds
- Utilize machining tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders to manufacture mold components
- Assemble and disassemble molds for maintenance and repair
- Inspect mold components and finished molds for quality and precision
- Troubleshoot mold issues and recommend adjustments or repairs
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure molds meet production requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Document processes and changes in mold designs as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in machining or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a mold maker or machinist
- Proficient in using CNC machining tools and conventional machining equipment
- Strong understanding of mold design, fabrication, and repair processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of safety practices in a machine shop environment
