Music Instrument Rentals Manager- Creative Music Center - Monroe, Fairfield County, CT

Job Description

Ensemble Schools is seeking a professional Instrument Rentals Director to work atCreative Music Center in Monroe, CT, named a NAMM Top 100 Dealer, 14 years running. This is an in-person position.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background, thrive in a people-centric culture have outstanding attention to detail and recognize that customer satisfaction and teamwork are key to our success You will work hand in hand with the General Manager and the Creative Music Center Team. They will also have a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

You will be responsible for:

- Managing our instrument rental business, which is our number one revenue driver

- Working with school music teachers and administrators as well as Creative Music Center affiliates 

- Working with parents regarding account follow-up, including the purchase of step-up and professional horns. 

- Tracking our fleet of rental instruments and coordinating with our collection company as necessary for outstanding accounts

Professional requirements:

- Bachelor's degree a plus, but not required

- Relevant Work Experience – all the better if retail oriented and/or music related but not mandatory

- Superior customer relations

- Process and detail-oriented

- Good social media skills, although not mandatory

- Adaptable and willing to learn customized industry accounting software platforms (familiarity with AIM software platform a plus, but not mandatory)

- Strong computer skills, including Gmail and Google Sheets

- Independently resourceful and takes initiative

- Strong time management skills

- Upbeat and high energy
