Job Description
Innovative Chemical Products Group (ICP Group) is a leading formulator and manufacturer of specialty coatings, adhesives, and sealants serving the construction and industrial end markets. Founded in 2015 and supported by a lean corporate team, ICP Group has scaled rapidly through organic and acquisition growth into one of the largest coatings, adhesives, and sealants companies in North America. ICP Group is headquartered in Andover, MA and has manufacturing and distribution sites throughout North America, Latin America, UK, Europe and the Asia Pacific region.ICP Group is seeking a highly motivated National Account Manager to drive growth with leading national hardware chains, lumber yards, and other large retail partners in the paint and coatings industry. This individual will focus on expanding market share for our Roof, Driveway, and Diversified Coatings product lines through high-potential, large-scale accounts.This role requires a strong hunter mentality with a proven track record in sales and business development. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new national partnerships to expand sales and product placements across multiple locations.Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major national chains, key influencers, and decision-makers.
- Develop and execute a strategic national business development plan targeting hardware, lumber, and specialty retail markets.
- Prospect, pitch, and close new business opportunities at the corporate and regional levels of large accounts.
- Drive product placement and add new store locations through retail partnerships.
- Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and educational presentations both in-person and virtually.
- Participate in trade shows, customer events, and demo days to promote ICP Group brands.
- Analyze sales reports and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and competitive positioning.
- Report progress, opportunities, and pipeline activity through our Salesforce CRM.
- Proven sales track record in national or regional account development with new business generation.
- Experience selling into hardware chains, lumber yards, or building materials distribution strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to engage decision-makers at multiple levels.
- Demonstrated success overcoming sales objections (price, technical/application knowledge, etc.).
- Cold-calling and prospecting experience with Independent Dealers, Regional/National Chains, and buying groups.
- Knowledge of architectural/technical coatings or building materials preferred.
- Willingness to travel nationally (up to 50% overnight).
